Step-by-Step Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, around 400°F (200°C). Lightly oil the grill grates.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, finely diced onion, chopped cilantro, minced garlic, and finely chopped jalapeño. Add ground cumin, paprika, lime juice, shredded cheddar cheese, salt, and black pepper.
- Divide the turkey mixture into six equal portions and shape each into a patty, about ¾ inch thick. Chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
- Once your grill is hot, place the patties on it and grill for 5-6 minutes on one side. Flip carefully and cook for another 5-6 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for 3-5 minutes under foil.
- Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the grill for 1-2 minutes. Assemble the burgers with patties, guacamole, cheese, tomato slices, and lettuce.

Notes
Use 93% lean ground turkey for a good balance of flavor and moisture. Refrigerate formed patties for at least 15 minutes before grilling to help them hold their shape.
