  • 2 cups Fresh Spinach Sautéed to bring out flavor.
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced for best results.
  • 1/2 medium Onion Optional, chopped finely.
  • 1 large Egg Acts as a binder.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Substitute for oats or almond flour for gluten-free.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 cup Low-Moisture Mozzarella Cubes Keep chilled to prevent melting.
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning Adjust to taste.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes Optional, for heat.
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Parsley Optional, for garnish.

Method
 

Directions
  1. Sauté minced garlic in olive oil for 1 minute, then add spinach and cook for 3-4 minutes until wilted. Remove from heat and cool.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef or turkey, sautéed spinach, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Shape meat mixture into balls, enclosing a mozzarella cube in each. Place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F. Bake meatballs for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Alternatively, pan-sear for 6-8 minutes each side.
  5. Simmer meatballs in marinara sauce for 5-10 minutes for added flavor.
  6. Let meatballs rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.
