Ingredients

For the Donut Bites
  • 1 cup Self-Raising Flour Can substitute with regular flour by adding 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder and ¼ teaspoon of salt per cup.
  • 1 cup Sweetened Greek Yogurt Plain yogurt can also be used for a less sweet option.
For the Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 3 tbsp Granulated Sugar Coconut sugar can be used as a substitute for a healthier option.
  • 1 tbsp Ground Cinnamon Pumpkin pie spice can be used for a seasonal twist.
Optional Topping
  • 2 tbsp Melted Chocolate Dark, milk, or white chocolate can be used based on preference.

Equipment

  • Air fryer

Method

Step‑by‑Step Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine self-raising flour and sweetened Greek yogurt until a soft dough forms. This should take about 1-2 minutes of mixing.
  2. Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough briefly—just until smooth, about 30 seconds. Be careful not to over-knead.
  3. Divide the dough into manageable pieces and roll each segment into logs. Cut the logs into small portions weighing around 8-12 grams each.
  4. Roll each piece into a cute little ball, ensuring they are smooth and uniform in size.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) and lightly brush the basket with oil.
  6. Arrange the doughnut balls in the basket, leaving space between them. Air fry for 5 minutes, checking for a golden brown appearance.
  7. Toss the doughnut bites in melted butter while they’re still warm, then roll them in a mixture of granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy, optionally drizzling with melted chocolate.
