Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering. Add 1 small diced onion and 3 minced garlic cloves; sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  2. Add 1 pound of ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook for about 6-8 minutes until browned and no longer pink; drain excess fat if necessary.
  3. Stir in 3 tablespoons of hot honey, 2 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and a pinch of ground black pepper and salt. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until thickened slightly.
  4. Add 4 cups of cooked rice to the skillet, folding it into the beef mixture. Stir continuously for about 2 minutes to heat through.
  5. Spoon the mixture into bowls, garnishing with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
