Method
 

Prepare the Salad
  1. In a medium skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, turkey, or chicken for 5–7 minutes until browned. Stir in taco seasoning and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat to cool.
  2. Chop the lettuce into bite-sized pieces, dice the tomatoes, and slice the onions.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, layer the lettuce as a base.
  4. Add the cooled seasoned protein over the lettuce.
  5. Sprinkle diced tomatoes and sliced onions over the protein.
  6. Top the salad with a handful of crunchy Doritos.
  7. Serve immediately to keep the Doritos crispy.
